Next game is at my place (2004 SE 54 -- between Hawthorne and Lincoln) on Thursday, May 27. Starting time is 7. I'll have some beer and bourbon, but no pepperoni chips. So bring whatever else you may want (Larry, that means Cheetos). As far as I know, all of us but David will be there. Please let me know ASAP if you can't make it.
There will be one major change for next week. We will be playing Hold 'Em with blinds and once you're busted, well then you're out until we have a winner. Here is how it will work: We will start Hold 'Em when everyone gets to my place, so try to get there as close to 7 as you can. There will be a $10 buy in for the Hold 'Em game. Blinds will be set at .10-.20, .20-.40, .40-.80, .75-$1.50, and if need be $1.50-$2.50. There will be no antes the first three rounds but antes will be .25 in rounds 4 and 5. Change in blinds will be based on time--every half hour blinds will increase. As mentioned, if you go all in and lose then you're out until the game is over. Also, we will draw for seat position so as to give us all a chance to avoid sitting next to "I'll call" Larry. Winner will take 60% of the pot, 2nd place will get 20% and 3rd place 10%. It has also been suggested that we all throw a buck in a side pot and the person who has the best losing hand gets the additional $7 (Ira would have won last time losing with a queen high flush). Clear as mud? We'll figure it out at my house. Robey and Jeff will help with this given that they are both playing in a real poker tournament tonight.
